Detailed description

Halki Day Tour from Rhodes

Halki will seem more calm and serene when you come from Rhodes and enter the small island. Although just the port in Nimporio, the only settlement on the island, always seems busy and lively. Halki is an island dream in the Mediterranean, a place where time seems to stand still. Halki is often called the little sister of Symi and this is also because of the colorful, stylish architecture around the port. A very authentic and very popular setting for a walk, a stroll through the ages. If you want to leave some of the hustle and bustle of Rhodes behind, the Halki day trip is highly recommended.

The Halki tour starts from the Mandraki port of Rhodes town. We meet in front of the big church in the harbor and take the bus to Kameiros Skala. There the ferries to Halki depart. During the short 45-minute ride on a small ferry, you will have the opportunity to admire the panorama of the rocky coast of Western Rhodes, the castle of Kritinia and the mountains, so the trip to Halki will seem like a piece of cake. As you approach, a colorful settlement appears at the foot of the surrounding hills. The colorful neoclassical villas from the 19th century, the three windmills on the far left and the ruins of a Venetian fortress on the top of one of the hills will take your breath away!

Nimborio, the island's capital and port, is one of the most beautiful neoclassical settlements in Greece and an ideal place to walk, as the absence of vehicles makes Halki a peaceful place!
