The Ria Formosa on foot: guided walking tour in the Algarve

Get to know the local flora and fauna in the Ria Formosa Nature Park on a hike that lasts 3 hours. Explore the fascinating area near Faro on foot. Take advantage of the pretty panoramic views of the Algarve coastline on a hike that heads right through the fantastic flora and fauna. Hike in the Ria Formosa Natural pack and get in touch with nature in Portugal. Kick the hiking tour off in Faro and learn all about the wildlife in Portugal. Learn about the salt production and farming industry. When the tide is out, watch the local workers cultivating the mussels. The salts are often referred to white gold because of their high quality. Check out the wonders in and around Ria Formosa. Stop off and snap photos of the top spots in the sunlight.

Bird-watching in the Algarve is best done in the Ludo Quinta do Lago area and it's well-known for that. A 3-hour tour will show you the best birds in the Algarve. See another side to Portugal as you get acquainted with its nature. Get a better look with the binoculars and telescopes and cut down the risk of going on a wild goose chase by checking the bird maps and taking the guide's advice on board. Walk around the terrific seemingly untouched natural haven. Keep your eyes peeled for the Little Bitterns, the Pochards and the exotic Black-headed Weavers as you stroll through the Algarve. The wetland serves as a popular resting place for migratory birds but has its fair share of its own native birds as well.

Actually, I just wanted to walk a little through botany,

I hadn't thought that it would develop into a real nature hike. I thought the birds were nice too. The rest of nature gave me more, however.

Algarve for nature lovers! 5 Stars

I was excited. A small group of nature lovers met. Hiking with like-minded people is pleasant. Nobody was loud and scared away the sometimes very shy animals. It was well explained and the tour was chosen wisely. Compliments for this offer.

Algarve für Naturfreunde! 5 Sterne

Professional guided tour through this natural paradise

It was a wonderful tour. Not only the animals and plants were fascinating. I had never heard the information about sea salt extraction like this before. 5 points, because a lot of little things have been thought of - for example good binoculars to be able to look at the shy birds well.

Flora and fauna around Ria Formosa

I'm a nature freak and I was really looking forward to this hike. The nature in the Algarve is so rich and sometimes exotic (for pale Central Europeans like me). Instead of a shopping tour, my recommendation: Discover the Ria Formosa Natural Park!
