The hot air balloon ascends over the Lassithi plateau in Crete early in the morning when the thermals are ideal for flying. The plateau is located in the eastern part of Crete at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level. It is a very scenic place that allows for breathtaking photos. The Lassithi plateau is famous for its unique windmills and the cave where, according to myth, Zeus was born. Upon arrival at the starting point, we will first discuss some safety aspects to ensure that the tour is absolutely worry free for you. You will have the opportunity to help unpack and inflate the balloon. The balloon ride begins between 7:00 and 7:30 am. The ride lasts approximately 30 minutes. You will be there as the balloon is unpacked and prepared, and you will see our guides stowing away the equipment. But above all, it is the breathtakingly beautiful landscape of inland Crete and the silent gliding through the sky that make this balloon flight such a moving and emotional experience.
