There are three major destinations and many smaller ones along the way, making this jeep safari from Malia, Crete, a very special experience: The beauty of Matala, the famous monasteries and the Agiofarago gorge. Our route takes us through the vineyards of Crete for the first few kilometres. We reach the village of Agios Thomas, famous for its Byzantine churches, the ruins of the Byzantine aqueduct and Roman tombs.

On the way down, we cross the valley of the Messara and reach Odigitria, one of the most famous monasteries in Crete, dating back to the 14th century. Finally, we take the jeeps along a track to the entrance of Agiofarago. Here we start our short walk through the gorge (no difficulty). After a 20 minute walk you will reach a fine pebble beach that will enchant you. It is a paradise in the south of Crete.

The third highlight of the tour is the famous hippie village of Matala in the south of Crete. You will have free time to admire the beauty of the village and visit the hippie caves (entrance fee extra).
