Comfortable sailing experience in Crete

Option 1: Half day sailing from Heraklion

Getting up early to escape Crete's summer heat and spend most of the day sailing will be rewarded in every way. We will collect you from your accommodation and meet you in the old Venetian harbour of Heraklion for our half day sailing trip. As we welcome you on board, you will be given a safety and handling briefing. We then set sail for our destination, the beautiful island of Dia. The trip takes about an hour, during which you can enjoy the beauty of the sea and the tranquillity.

Arriving on the coast of Dia, we anchor either in the bay of Agios Georgios or in the bay of Panagia, depending on the weather. Both bays are known for their crystal clear waters and are surrounded by protected flora and fauna. We spend about an hour and a half in this paradise. Cool refreshments and seasonal fruit will be served! And if you are hungry after an eventful morning, the crew will prepare a hot lunch with fresh local ingredients! After lunch and perhaps a short dive, it's back to the Venetian port of Heraklion.

Option 2: Full day sailing from Heraklion

Our full day sailing trip to the island of Dia departs daily from the old harbour of Heraklion. The trip to Dia takes about an hour and will introduce you to the beauty of the sea, the silence and the tranquillity. First stop is Agrilia Bay, one of the most secluded beaches on the island, where we can avoid the crowds. As we approach, you can smell the wild oregano from aboard! Here you can take your first swim, snorkel or just relax for an hour with a cool drink and fruit.

We continue to Panagia Bay, a bay with green, crystal clear waters. The island is an important refuge for native plants and animals that are very rare in the southern Aegean, and one of the most important nesting sites for falcons. This is also the place where we might see a kri kri! Last stop is Agios Georgios, one of the most popular crystal clear beaches on the island. While the water invites you for another dive, our skipper and host will prepare a delicious lunch using only fresh and local ingredients. There will be plenty of time for another refreshing plunge!
