Discover the south of Lanzarote in this day trip from Fuerteventura. The tour starts with pick-up from Castillo Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo. You will be taken by bus to the port of Corralejo where you will board the ferry to Lanzarote. The crossing takes about 45 minutes. At the port of Playa Blanca, an air-conditioned bus is ready for the tour of Lanzarote. The first stop on the neighbouring island is the rugged Timanfaya National Park with its mountains of fire. Let yourself be impressed by the volcanic landscape. Afterwards, drive to La Geria, a wine-growing area where the vines are planted in cone-shaped ash pits. You will be able to taste a Malvasia wine that is unique in the world. Finally, we will also visit an aloe vera museum where you will learn more about the uses of this typical local plant and about new natural remedies. The day trip from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote is a varied experience. If you are on holiday in Fuerteventura, you will get to see another of the Canary Islands on this short trip. From the harbour in Corralejo you take the ferry to Playa Blanca. This well-known holiday resort is the starting point of the day trip over the neighbouring island. The round trip first leads through the National Park Timanfaya, which is known for impressive volcanic craters, black lava masses, geothermal activities and its mystical atmosphere. During the passage there will be one or two short stops for a photo. On the edge of the national park is the famous fishing village of El Golfo, which is a popular destination, especially because of its green lagoon. In the middle of a volcanic crater, the sea water penetrating from below has turned completely green. The colour is provided by algae, which have adapted to the salt content and thus to this habitat.
The third station of the Lanzarote day excursion is located in the centre of the island: La Geria. It is the biggest and most important wine growing area of the island and provides, similar to El Golfo, a colour change. Where otherwise mainly black lava rock dominates, one now comes across to green vines that are surrounded by circular lava funnels. On the one hand, this type of vine cultivation provides the plants with moisture and protects them from drying out during the day. In La Geria there is time for a wine tasting. By bus you will then return to Playa Blanca on the south coast of Lanzarote, where you will take the ferry back to Corralejo on Fuerteventura at around 04:00 p.m. and be taken by shuttle to the hotel or meeting point.

great tour with a few flaws
The tour was really cool overall, but the schedule was a bit tight. Timanfaya was impressive and the wine tour in La Geria was a highlight. Unfortunately, the stay at the green lake was too short. My partner and I went on this day trip from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote and it was really impressive. The volcanic landscapes in Timanfaya National Park are simply amazing. You feel like you've landed on another planet. The bus was air-conditioned and the transfer from Castillo Caleta de Fuste went smoothly. The wine in La Geria was actually quite delicious and the tasting was fun. The tour was informative but not too boring. We took some cool photos in El Golfo at the green lagoon, but unfortunately the short time we stayed wasn't enough for more. The tour could be a bit longer to have more time at each stop, but overall it was an exciting day. Only criticism: you should be better prepared and definitely bring snacks as food is not included. Mein Partner und ich haben diesen Tagesausflug von Fuerteventura nach Lanzarote gemacht und es war echt beeindruckend. Die Vulkanlandschaften im Timanfaya Nationalpark sind einfach der Hammer. Man fühlt sich, als wäre man auf einem anderen Planeten gelandet. Der Bus war klimatisiert und der Transfer von Castillo Caleta de Fuste lief reibungslos ab.Der Wein in La Geria war tatsächlich ziemlich lecker und die Verkostung machte Spaß. Die Führung war informativ, aber nicht zu langweilig. Wir haben einige coole Fotos in El Golfo bei der grünen Lagune gemacht, aber die kurze Aufenthaltszeit hat leider nicht für mehr gereicht.
Die Tour könnte etwas länger sein, um mehr Zeit an den einzelnen Stopps zu haben, aber insgesamt war es ein spannender Tag.
Einziger Kritikpunkt: Man sollte besser vorbereitet sein und unbedingt Snacks mitbringen, da das Essen nicht inbegriffen ist. Aber hey, das gehört zum Abenteuer! Alles in allem ein toller Ausflug, ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Well guys, let me put it this way, the tour was okay, but not something I would definitely do again. The volcanic landscape in Timanfaya is impressive, sure, and the wine in La Geria wasn't bad either. But the whole thing felt kind of rushed. Everything was pretty organised, which might be good for some, but I would have liked more time to enjoy the area in peace. Overall solid, but not outstanding.feuerberge und wein, aber nicht wow

Alles war ziemlich durchorganisiert, was für manche vielleicht gut ist, aber ich hätte mir mehr Zeit gewünscht, um die Gegend in Ruhe zu genießen.
