Tenerife self organised travel
You can be absolutely happy with a all-inclusive holiday in Tenerife - the infrastructure of the island is perfectly arranged and aligned, especially in the south and also in the bigger cities. But you can also do it completely different and discover Tenerife away from the comfort zone, without full board, double room with sea view and service at the hotel pool. If you want to experience Tenerife individually, it is best to book a flight and (private) accommodation outside the holiday season, tie your hiking boots and rent a car if necessary. And then you can already start discovering the largest and perhaps most beautiful of the Canary Islands.
Around the famous tourist resorts Playa de las Americas, Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos, individual holidaymakers do not necessarily have to stay away, but Tenerife is authentic elsewhere. The Teide National Park is also anything but a lonely place during the high season and around the cable car - this changes when you go for a sunrise hike up to the Teide or take the more difficult paths through the lunar landscape. For an independent holiday on Tenerife, the freedom to decide for yourself when breakfast is served and where to go for dinner speaks for itself. And with a little distance to the tourist destinations, travellers can always find something new and unexpected.
