Detailed description

Bus tour to the wine tasting on Tenerife - starting in the south

Get to know some of the great wines the Canary Islands have to offer during a wine tasting on Tenerife. The bus tour with wine tasting starts in the south and has its first stop in La Laguna, which is part of the world's cultural heritage because of the richness of its history and should certainly be one of your first destinations while you are a holiday on Tenerife. The walk through the old town is a nice introduction to the wine tasting on Tenerife. Not far from La Laguna, we will be able to taste some fine wines in El Sauzal. On this bus excursion you will become more familiar with the wines that are grown on Tenerife and maybe even fall in love with them. Tenerife's wines are exceptionally aromatic thanks to the mild climate and the various volcanic soils. The red wines from Tenerife are particularly popular abroad.

For the wine tasting on Tenerife we start by visiting a wine house (Casa del Vino) and as well as the wines, we will also try some Canary Island aperitifs. The highlight of the wine tasting on Tenerife is the visit to a traditional bodega in the north of Tenerife. The location of the family-run wine cellar is simply breath-taking. From the vineyard you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Tacoronte Valley, Mount Teide and the sea on the other side. A four-course menu is served against this backdrop. The meal is accompanied by three different wines. The Tenerife wine tour takes you to a part of the island that is very interesting geographically and provides good views of the Teide National Park.

You will also find out more about the life of the winegrowers, the climate and the history of how the agricultural land is managed. A wine tasting on Tenerife is not just of interest to gourmets. Especially as this wine tour with sightseeing in La Laguna and the visit to the Casa del Vino includes some other items on the program. Wine lovers will certainly taste something of the sunny side of the island at the wine tasting on Tenerife. After the successful meal with wine tasting at the bodega you will be driven back to your hotel.

Worth it

We booked this trip as we had wanted to do a wine tasting tour with our friends in Tenerife. The info we received before was suburb and arrangements for pick up were clear. We were picked up close to where we were staying and on time. The guide introduced himself and was friendly. The minibus was very comfortable and air conditioned, there was 12 of us so not too many. The guide gave us lots of interesting facts as we drove up to La Laguna which were interesting but the weather on that side of the island was completely different, so a jacket is necessary and even an umbrella! No one had either, so we were going through the rain. We visited a very beautiful cathedral. We left there an went on to wine tasting which was fabulous and informative, we also had options to buy wine. We stopped at two wineries and had lunch at one the lunch was lovely and the staff so friendly and helpful. We then drove back and the rain was that bad we couldn't stop as we wouldn't of seen anything perhaps somewhere else should be arranged if the weather is that bad. We then drove down to the south and were dropped off. A very enjoyable experience but definitely a coat, sweater and or an umbrella would be useful.
