Detailed description

Full day jeep safari from Tenerife (Playa de las Americas) to La Gomera

Have you ever explored the southern part of the island of Tenerife and the neighbouring island of La Gomera by jeep? On this jeep safari you will be using comfortable off-road vehicles as you head out from Playa de las Américas and proceed from there to the harbour of Los Cristianos. The ferry will take you to San Sebstián de La Gomera. As soon as you land on La Gomera , you will start the jeep safari by heading along the San Pedro Road before continuing to Hermigua.

The jeep safari makes a brief stop here to discover an interesting banana plantation and to find out some interesting details about how bananas are farmed. The next stage of the jeep safari on La Gomera takes you to the beautiful beach of Playa Caleta and to Agulo. There you will be able to enjoy a tasty Canary Island lunch in a typical restaurant (Mondays and Wednesdays in the restaurant “Las Rosas”, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the restaurant “Roque Blanco”).

After this, the jeep safari continues to the "Juego de Bolas" visitor centre at the Garajonay National Park. This fascinating national park has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. At the next stop, the Mirador de Agulo, you will be able to enjoy a magnificent view of the sea and the countryside beneath you - perfect for a few awesome panoramic photos! There is another quick stop in the beautiful Laguna Grande, where children can let off steam in the playground.

The La Gomera jeep safari continues to the Los Roques natural monument, where you can visit the famous Roque de Agando and experience a variety of views of the natural part of the national park. The last stop on the all-day jeep safari is the town of San Sebastián. One of the things you can see here is the Torre del Conde tower, which was built in the 5th century and is one of the island’s most important monuments. The jeep safari then heads back to the ferry to head back to the final stop at Playa de las Americas on Tenerife.

Highly recommended

A visit to this beautiful island is a must. The excursion in this type of vehicle was very interesting as you can access areas that are not visited by bus, for example.

It was fun

After the pick-up hadn't worked out smoothly, we were picked up after a more or less friendly phone call with the provider (not sunbonoo). Our driver was very kind and explained a lot and was a good driver. The ferry crossing was fun. Then it started straight away, lunch was okay but not great (food is a matter of taste and can be rated poorly, I think. My case was unfortunately not.) After lunch we went on to the botanical garden, nothing spectacular but the viewing platform was not bad. We continued to the garanojay, a very beautiful forest, but the time that was stopped there was too short for me personally. On the way back to the ferry, a few stops were made for photos, my highlight was the Roque de Agando. In the end we had about 1 1/2 hours in san Sebastian before we took the ferry back. All in all, the trip was worth the money. The trip in the Jeep column alone was cool

La Gomera is a paradise!

Basically, I really liked the excursion to La Gomera by off-road vehicle. La Gomera is a beautiful island with untouched nature. I will probably spend my next vacation there. Unfortunately the ferry was late on the way back, which is why I missed dinner at the hotel.
