The Archduke's Riding Path is one of the most spectacular hiking routes in Mallorca - built to enjoy the Tramuntana mountain range. During this hike you will have magnificent views of the north coast of Mallorca and all the surrounding peaks of Valldemossa. Depending on the pace of the group, you can also climb the Teix (1062m). The hike starts and ends in Valdemossa. Participants need a good physical condition and should be free of dysfunction - the difference in altitude on the route is between 250 and 500 metres.

Guided walk on the path of the Archduke "Camino del Archiduque"

The hike along the path of Archduke Camino del Archiduque is one of the most spectacular routes on the north-west coast of Mallorca. Lluís Salvador was a lover of the island and knew how to enjoy the enchanting sides of Mallorca. The Camino del Archiduque leads to lookout points overlooking the northern coast of Mallorca and the Tramuntana, which Archduke Salvador wanted to honour with his equestrian itinerary. The starting point of the hike along the Erherzogs path is the pretty mountain village of Valdemossa. There you will meet your experienced guide, who is not only familiar with the demanding route, but also with the weather conditions in the mountains. A maximum of 12 participants will be guided on one hike.

The circular hike in the west of Mallorca starts off in a sporty way. A few metres after the edge of the village you will reach an old cart track that leads steeply uphill. Then a part follows through the beautiful oak forest and you reach a first vantage point, which gives you a view of the Tramuntana. As you hike along the Archduke's path, you will have more frequent views of the north coast of Mallorca and the surrounding peaks of Valldemossa. The route follows the cliffs in places. Depending on the pace of the group, you can also climb the Teix (1062m).

The 5-hour hike is quite demanding for participants. Endurance and stamina are essential for the medium-difficulty route. Due to the altitude at which you are on this path, you should also be free of vertigo and sure-footed. You will climb 900 metres in altitude on the 13-kilometre hike. The tour is generally possible all year round with a professional hiking guide, the best hiking times are spring and autumn.
