The boat trip to the Cabrera Islands starts in the evening from the port of Colonia Sant Jordi. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the first island of the archipelago, Na Foradada. Just 10 minutes later, we arrive at the port of Cabrera and go ashore. You will be greeted by a Nature Reserve guide who will give you a brief introduction. Our stay on the island will last approximately 45 minutes. During this time you can visit the fortress of Cabrera. From this watchtower you have a breathtaking view of the islands. We then continue to Sa Cova Blava (Blue Grotto), where you can enjoy the sunset with a glass of sparkling wine and a traditional pastry (stay in the grotto about 30 minutes).

Sunset boat trip to the Blue Cave of Cabrera

Of the 18 smaller and larger islands that make up the archipelago of the same name, Cabrera is the largest island off the south coast of Mallorca. From afar, it appears to be a rocky and barren piece of land with a great deal of history and charm. The evening Cabrera Island cruise combines a short shore excursion with a peaceful sunset at sea - specifically at the Blue Cave (Cova Blava). This trip is only offered during the summer months when the swell is a little more stable. At the Blue Cave, we'll enjoy a glass of sparkling wine while looking up at the evening sky and taking in the colours. If you are unfamiliar with Cabrera, you can use the 45 minute stop on this trip to visit the watchtower, for example.

Leaving the port of Colonia Sant Jordi, it takes a leisurely 25 minutes to reach the first of the islets. We moor at the small fishing port of Cabrera and disembark. A Nature Reserve guide will tell us about Cabrera's special features and we can explore some of the island's trails on foot. Then it's time for the next stop on this sunset cruise: back on board and heading for the Blue Cave. A small natural wonder carved into the limestone by the sea. The cave owes its name to the wondrous light and colour effects. Thanks to the orientation of the cave, the sun's rays can have a special effect.
