Detailed description

Diving in Mallorca - Scuba Diving, diving courses and diving tours from Cala Santanyi

Visibility of more than 30 meters and the whole variety of the Mediterranean Sea await you while diving in Mallorca. Look forward to an encounter with grouper, moray eel, needlefish and barracuda! Discover the fascinating underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea while diving in the bay of Santanyí and other dive spots on Mallorca. Beginners can get to know a new, exciting water sport and at the same time admire the fairytale world of sea animals during a trial dive in the south-east of the island. Learn the basics of scuba diving at the Open Water Diver course in Cala Santanyi and get the PADI certificate that allows you to dive to 18 meters without the supervision of an instructor but with a diver of the same level. It also entitles you to rent tanks and diving equipment.

The diving base Cala Santanyí is located directly at the sea in the southeast of Mallorca, numerous diving spots are less than 2 nautical miles away. The entrance to the bay is directly in front of the door. The bay of Cala Santanyí offers ideal conditions for beginners to learn scuba diving on Mallorca. Visibility is enormous at more than 30 metres, water quality is excellent and at depths between 3 and 10 metres the area is ideal for making your first open water experience with diving equipment. Mallorca scores as a diving area with extraordinary coastal sections and a diverse underwater flora and fauna.

Also the nature-protected island archipelago Cabrera is only a few kilometres away from Cala Santanyi and is reached by rubber dinghy for diving excursions for small groups. Many divers appreciate this marine zone because of its special biodiversity. Due to the protective conditions around the main island Cabrera, an extraordinary and for the Mediterranean quite rare marine landscape has been preserved or developed. With a bit of luck you might meet a sea turtle or a dolphin.

The diving instructors at Cala Santanyí are well trained and pay particular attention to the safety of the participants. A maximum of 4 students are supervised and accompanied in a group. Regular maintenance of all equipment is guaranteed.
